In Type 2 diabetes mellitus
- To treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
- To treat heart failure with reduced ejection fraction
- To treat chronic kidney disease
- In combination with insulin to treat Type 1 Diabetes

- Dapagliflozin is taken in tablet form at doses of 5mg or 10mg
- Take with water once a day either with or without food
- Try to take Dapagliflozin at around the same time each day
- If you miss a dose and your next dose is within 12 hours, wait until the next dose to resume the treatment
- Do not increase or lower the dose without consulting your doctor

- Hypoglycemia – if taken with Sulphonylureas or Insulin
- Genital Infections
- Urinary Tract Infections
- Frequent urination (Polyuria)
- Lowering of Blood pressure

- Have had an allergic reaction to Dapagliflozin or any other medicines in the past
- Have severe kidney or liver disease
- Often get Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)
